New Reality TV Docu-Series 'Harvey's Transformation Camp' Launches

VH-1 Celebrity Fit Club star, Harvey Walden, is set to transform the lives of youth in new TV Docu-series "Harvey's Transformation Camp." With America's teens leading the world's youth in obesity and trailing in fitness and academic achievement, many circles describe these issues as epidemic. Growing up in the mean streets of Chicago and refusing to be a victim of the invisible walls of the inner city, Harvey pushed himself to be the best and is now a retired Marine with 23 years military service under his belt.

Harvey is going to make a difference in the lives of the youth in America. In this new and much anticipated TV docu-series, overweight children will undergo weeks of intense military-style training from Harvey to emerge better people equipped with the skills and training necessary to be a healthy, disciplined and productive citizens. The show is executive produced by longtime producer/director, Leslie Small (StEve Harvey and Rickey Smiley, "Don't Trip ... He Aint Through With Me Yet;" Bill Bellamy, "Back to My Roots;" Eddie Griffin, "Eddie Griffin: Freedom of Speech;" Shaquille O'Neal, "All Star Comedy Jam;" Academy award winner, Mo'Nique, Taraji P. Henson, James Avery, "Hair Show") and BSM.

With child/youth bullying becoming an epidemic, this Docu-series stands to teach kids who attend Harvey's Transformation Camp how to respect themselves as well as others and not to bully or resort to name calling, violence or other bad behavior. They will get the tools and discipline to say no to things that are not good for them and accept the positive challenges in life that are transformative.

"I'm extremely honored to be able to contribute to the youth getting their lives back on track and to be able to encourage, inspire and educate them to do better is the best part of doing the show," Harvey comments.
"When creating the show, I did so with Harvey in mind. I knew if anyone could reach the youth and make a huge difference as well as get their attention, Harvey would be that person," states Small.

About Harvey E. Walden IV: Harvey E. Walden IV, producer/best-selling author and speaker, was born in Chicago, joined the U.S. Marines at the age of 17 and completed his Basic Military Marine training (also referred to as 'Boot Camp') at MCRD San Diego, CA. Harvey is currently the star of the reality TV show "Celebrity Fit Club," a television series which follows eight overweight celebrities as they try to lose weight.

About Leslie Small: Leslie Small, renowned director/producer is credited with numerous hit feature films, documentaries, comedy specials and movies. A Southern California native, Leslie has an extensive educational background, earning a B.A. in Psychology, and completing Doctoral work in Community Economic Development. An avid reader, Leslie views the world on a global scale. He has traveled around the world, visiting many landmarks on the continents of Asia, Europe and Africa.
