Two new episodes of Comedy Central's "The Half Hour" premiere tonight, October 24 at Midnight ET/PT and 12:30 a.m. ET/PT, featuring Sam Morril and Joe List. Highlight preview episode "Must CC: The Half Hour" is now available on the Comedy Central App, cc.com/thehalfhour, iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Xbox Video, Apple Music, Vudu and Google Play. New episodes of "The Half Hour" will continue to roll out throughout the fall.
Filmed at The Royale in Boston, "The Half Hour" showcases some of the best up-and-coming stand-up comedians. The fourteen-episode season offers sets from comedians
Tone Bell,
Michelle Buteau, Sean Donnelly, Phil Hanley, Randy Liedtke, List, Morril, Barry Rothbart, Andrew Santino, Beth Stelling, Liza Treyger, Brooks Wheelan,
Andy Woodhull and Hampton Yount.
Morril's excellent joke-writing combined with his dark sense of humor make for a great "Half Hour." Morril takes on everything from elevator etiquette to new Hallmark card ideas to leaving a lunch with his mom for a bizarre sexual escapade. List's ability to unpack the absurd details of everyday life and his tendency to find himself in uncomfortable situations have coalesced into an hysterical "Half Hour." For List, trying out yoga, flying to Aruba in the winter and being tasked to check on a sleeping baby are just a few of the situations that make life... awkward.
Leading up to the on-air premiere,
Comedy Central Stand-Up and cc.com/thehalfhour will feature preview clips from the series. Fans can follow Morril and List on Twitter at @sammorril and @JoeListComedy, and tweet using the hashtag #TheHalfHour to join the social chatter around the series.
Episodes of "The Half Hour" will be available day after air on the
Comedy Central App and cc.com/thehalfhour to fans that sign in via their cable or satellite provider. The
Comedy Central App is available for iPad and iPhone on the App Store, Android on Google Play, Roku, Xbox One and Chromecast. The episodes will also be available for download the day after air on iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Xbox Video, Apple Music, Vudu and Google Play.
Morril's digital album "Sam Morril: Class Act," will be available on October 23 on CC: Stand-Up Direct, iTunes, Amazon MP3, Google Play, Spotify, Apple Music and all streaming services.
