PENCILS DOWN! THE 100 Days of the Writers Guild Strike, an inspiring and important documentary that chronicles the crippling event that shook Hollywood, debuts on digital platforms, including iTunes, and VOD, on November 8, 2016. Featuring a immersive blend of ground level strike footage, one-on-one interviews with key industry figures, and historical Hollywood footage, the insightful film explores the key issues surrounding the decision to strike, with insight into how it affected those working in the entertainment industry today and in the future. Outlining the Writers Guild of America (WGA) reasons for striking, including the rapid growth of 'New Media' and revenues from it, through the eventual resolution, Pencils Down! is presented chronologically with those events leading up to and during the strike, and the impact that has forever changed the business of entertainment.
