One Glass Video, a producer of video and branded content, announced today that it is seeking distribution partners for a new comedy web series, Janice Gunter, Ghost Hunter. Featuring 6 full episodes and 27 Bonus Videos, season 1 of the series is complete but not-yet-released. An exclusive pre-screening will be held in New York City on October 27th for industry insiders, potential distributors and members of the press.

The series has garnered a cult following through a Facebook page maintained in THE VOICE of the quirky main character, Janice Gunter. A grassroots marketing campaign, involving paper flyers distributed throughout NYC, has also stirred CURIOSITY and intrigue across social media and the blogosphere.

In the series, comedic actress and UCB veteran, Elizabeth McDonough portrays Janice, a self-proclaimed ghost hunter who hits the streets with her mother turned cameraman to document the supernatural phenomena of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Along with everyone who has ever met her, Janice knows she's "different" and despite a slow start, she's determined to get her paranormal business off the ground by accepting work and advice from anyone the universe presents. An onslaught of eccentric characters brings Janice to THE BRINK of giving up on her dream, but everything changes when she gets the opportunity to audition for America's Next Top Ghost Hunter.

Written by widely produced playwright and screenwriter, Drew Larimore, the show features talent from stage and screen, including Catherine Curtain and Constance Shulman (Orange is the New Black), breakout comedy star John Early (Wet Hot American Summer), and features appearances from Kam Perez (ABC's Whodunnit), Aparna Nancherla (a writer for Late Night with Seth Myers), and New York City drag celebrity, Jiggly Caliente (Ru Paul's Drag Race).

"What appealed to me about the series when I first read the script was the disarming charm of Janice Gunter," says Executive Producer Stephanie Testa. "I felt that in order to reach a ready fan base, we needed to employ that charm and use Janice's own marketing tactics from the story to generate interest for the series. Through paper flyers and a comically misguided use of Facebook, we have acquired an eager audience waiting to see who Janice Gunter really is."

"Janice is probably the strangest character I've ever encountered as a writer. She's a step out of time." says series Co-Creator and Writer Drew Larimore. "When it comes to ghosts, some people take it really seriously and my goal is to put a comedic spin on the topic. There's nothing funnier than people who take something way too seriously."
