This Fall, 47 Secrets to A Younger You a comedy by and about working moms in their 40s, made its on-line debut. Created and produced by Laura Frenzer and Rohana Kenin and directed by Ryan Blackwell, the series is available on www.47secretstoayoungeryou.com and on Youtube on the dedicated channel https://www.youtube.com/c/47SecretsToAYoungerYou .

The same week the first episode aired, the show was nominated in three categories at the 2015 Brooklyn Web Fest, and a few weeks later, received the Made in New York Honorable Mention at the Festival. It was also an Indiewire Women and Hollywood September 2015 Web Series pick and is currently an official selection in the on-line Tiny Film Festival.

At 4-6 minutes long, each episode is geared for the working parent: short enough to sneak in at your desk at work, watch on your phone while hanging out at the playground with the kids, or in-line at the grocery store on the way home from work, and then share with friends on social media. In fact, binge-watching the entire season will take barely half an hour.

In the six short episodes of Season 1, which network cable producer Erica Staufenberg calls "a fun whirlwind into the absurdity of motherhood and living in NYC," and which Skei Saulnier, executive producer of Blue Ruin, praises for being "beyond funny; it's clever, it's inventive and it has so many moments that so many of us have experienced," divorced mom Julie (Frenzer, an adjunct professor and waiter, has her mantras backfire as her teenage daughter sabotages her dating life on social media; meanwhile married mom Karma (Kenin), a non-profit administrator, races against a work deadline denying her caffeine addiction and missed chances for spousal romance. Will friends and family support, enable, or undermine efforts to overcome tricky plumbing, blood-sucking vermin, exploding cookies, and lost reading glasses?

Co-creators Frenzer and Kenin met over 10-years ago when they bumped into each other in their building's elevator as neighbors in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn. They soon discovered they shared an absurd sense of humor, as well as the challenge of trying to maintain a performing career while each raising two young children. Over play dates and family dinners they HATCHED a plan to develop work and a production method that acknowledged and allowed for parenting, while advancing their creative and career goals.

Together they produced six summer seasons of a family-friendly production of A Midsummer Night's Dream in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. The show was seen by thousands of New York children and their families and was called "can't miss children's theater that Shakespeare lovers will truly appreciate" by nytheatre.com. It was recognized by then Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, and then New York State Senator (now Borough President) Eric Adams, for its cultural contribution to Brooklyn. Kenin and Frenzer felt it was time to come up with something for the parents.

In 2013 Frenzer and Kenin began tossing around ideas for female-centered comedy based around aging and parenting. They developed their ideas into the scripted series 47 Secrets to A Younger You. After a successful Idiegogo campaign, the show wrapped filming in June 2015, as the inaugural production for their company, Uncommon Wombat Productions, LLC. Between the two of them, Kenin and Frenzer have over five decades of performance and producing experience that includes stage, film, television, improv comedy and voice-over ("does this relevant work experience make me look old?").
