New Actress Cast for Lifetime's Casey Anthony Biopic

According to ETOnline, a new actress has been cast in the role of Casey Anthony for an upcoming Lifetime biopic. Canadian actress Holly DeVeaux has been dropped from the project and will be replaced by Virigina Welch. According to a source involved in the production, DeVeaux's exit from the film was a 'mutual decision.' 

Welch has appeared in many independent films and commercials. She appeared on the TV series 'A God Named Pablo.' She will join previously announced cast members Rob Lowe, who portrays prosecutor Jeff Ashton, and The Office star Oscar Nunez, who portrays defense attorney Jose Baez.

Filming on the biopic began last week. Since her acquittal last July of the 2008 murder of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, Anthony has remained in hiding.
