As first reported in the Hollywood Reporter, a Los Angeles-based production company is currently pitching the opportunity for the first interview with Casey Anthony. Anthony made headlines this past year when she was accused of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony. She was ultimately acquitted of the charge. For the most part, Anthony has managed to remain in seclusion since her trial and has not granted any interviews. According to the report, Scott Sternberg and his production company have been offering a 'no-holds-bared' interview to the networks for a fee of between $500,000 and $750,000.
Interested networks would have the option of chosing the interviewer and Sternberg's production company would co-produce the program. Reportedly, a host of cable networks have already refused the offer, including Discovery Communications' TLC, ID, and A&E Networks, which includes Lifetime and A&E. While NBCUniversal-owned cable channel has not yet been approached with the offer, a spokesman for the company said they would not be interested in an interview. Anthony has been the target of national outrage ever since she was acquitted of murder.
