Netflix to make the romantic comedy Let It Snow, based on the book by Young Adult bestseller John Green, according to Deadline. The film comes from Planet Of The Apes franchise producer Dylan Clark.
In Let It Snow, when a once-in-century snowstorm hits a small town on Christmas Eve, several high school seniors discover unexpected opportunities as well as COMPLICATIONS that test their friendships, love lives, and aspirations for the future.
The film is set to go into production in early 2019 and it marks the feature debut of U.K. filmmaker Luke Snellin, director on BBC TV series Wanderlust and The A Word.
Producers are Clark (for his Dylan Clark Productions banner), whose Sandra Bullock starrer Bird Box is released on Netflix this month, and Alexa Faigen. Exec producer is Beau Bauman, co-producer of Dwayne Johnson comedy Central Intelligence and exec producer on Netflix's upcoming comedy series The Umbrella Academy.
Green's novels include The Fault in Our Stars, Looking For Alaska and Paper Towns.
