Net2TV Corporation and Opera Software are teaming up to deliver a new lineup of streaming TV shows to viewers using the popular Opera TV store on Sony, Samsung, Hisense, RCA and TiVo devices. Under this agreement, programs distributed by Net2TV's Portico TV service, including free-to-watch, full-length shows from Time, Popular Science, Better Homes and Garden and Cooking Light, are available immediately on Sony, Hisense, RCA and TiVo devices, and later this summer on Samsung Blu-Ray players. The agreement affects approximately 430 models of TVs and other streaming devices.

"Opera TV enables millions of viewers to discover programs that matter to them," said Tom Morgan, founder and CEO of Net2TV Corp. "This partnership with Opera Software fits in with our goal of helping our partners expand their streaming TV audience, while also helping viewers find streaming programming they want from brands they know and love."

"Net2TV's Portico TV service provides a new level of lean-back, special-interest programs from major media brands and upstarts," said Daniel Nordberg, Head of Content Acquisition for Opera Software. "These programs help round out the streaming TV experience for viewers by providing special-interest programs in areas where viewers have great interest and passion."

Net2TV's Portico TV series include "Better Homes and Gardens," "A Closer Look with the AP," "Cooking Light," "Cycle World," "Field & Stream," "Inside Golf," "Newsy in 30," "PEOPLE This Week," "Popular Science," "Saveur," "Southern Living," "Sports Illustrated," "The Week in TIME," and "World Eats." All shows are updated weekly with the exception of news programs, which are updated daily.

Net2TV curates short-form videos from its media partners and packages the videos into full 30-minute television programs with dynamic advertising for tablets, smart phones and smart TVs, connected TVs, cable set-top boxes, and mobile devices.
