FOX News Channel (FNC) and Fox Business Network (FBN) have signed Neil Cavuto to a new multi-year deal where he will continue as Senior Vice President, Anchor and Managing Editor of Business News for both channels, announced Roger Ailes, Chairman and CEO of FOX News.

In making the announcement, Ailes said, "Neil is a world class financial journalist and a tremendous leader. Serving as both an anchor and executive, he's played an integral part in the success Fox News and FOX Business. I'm pleased he's agreed to continue in this pivotal role for both networks."

Cavuto added, "It's hard to believe it's been nearly 20 years since I joined Roger Ailes from CNBC on this seemingly suicide television mission called FOX News. But I will never forget his drive and his patience, with our mission and with me! He would often remind us all that you never get a SECOND CHANCE to make a good first impression, so make it count. Whether starting Fox News or later FOX Business or doing a debate, he stressed that if you connect with viewers out the gate, pretty soon they'll be storming that gate to connect with you. Darn, if he wasn't right. Only I think Roger's language was slightly more colorful."

As one of FNC's first on-air hires, Cavuto was instrumental in helping launch the network in 1996. His FNC program YOUR WORLD WITH NEIL CAVUTO (4PM/ET) is the highest rated business program on television, followed closely by his weekend program CAVUTO ON BUSINESS which airs Saturdays. He also oversees FNC's weekend business programs, including Bulls & Bears, Forbes on FOX, and Cashin' In, all of which are the highest rated shows in their timeslots.

In 2007, Cavuto was part of the team that helped launched FOX Business Network, taking on a dual role as Anchor and Managing Editor of business news content across both networks. His FBN program CAVUTO: COAST TO COAST (weekdays 12-2PM/ET) covers the midday market moves and is one of the network's highest rated programs.

In November 2015, Cavuto, along with FBN's Maria Bartiromo, moderated FBN's inaugural Republican presidential primary debate. According to Nielsen Media Research, the debate delivered 13.5 million total viewers and 3.7 million in the key 25-54 demo, making it the highest-rated program in network history. In addition, his post-debate program earned 5.3 million viewers, beating out all of cable news for the evening. He'll reprise his role as moderator again this Thursday, January 14th for the first GOP debate of the election year, which will be presented live at 9PM/ET on FBN.

Prior to joining FOX, Cavuto was part of the team that launched CNBC in 1989. There, he anchored and hosted more than three hours of live daily programming, including the network's highest rated show, Market Wrap. He also served as a contributor to NBC's Today Show and NBC News at Sunrise. Previously, Cavuto was the New York Bureau Chief for PBS Television's NIGHTLY BUSINESS REPORT and Washington Bureau Chief for Investment Age Magazine.

Cavuto has covered some of the most important business and political stories of our time, including the 9-11 attacks, the 2008 financial meltdown, the 1987 stock market crash, and both Persian Gulf Wars. He has also reported firsthand on the economic policies of American presidents since Jimmy Carter, and covered major corporate scandals from Tyco to Enron. Before he became a journalist, Cavuto served as an intern in the Carter Administration, and was a reporter for the Indianapolis News and Star.
