The man. The Mick. The legend. After entertaining audiences with his quirky lifestyle last winter, Mick Dodge returns to National Geographic Channel (NGC) tonight, Sept. 30, 2014, at 9 PM ET/PT in an all-new season of THE LEGEND OF MICK DODGE ... and it's more barefoot than ever. Join NGC as we head back into the beautiful and serene Hoh Rainforest in the Pacific Northwest to follow the everyday life of an eccentric character whose unique brand of Zen comes from living off the land.

This season, spring is in the air and adventures are on the HORIZON as our legendary wild man is finally able to reconnect with his fellow forest dwellers after a long winter. With friends like Sunray, Moss Hopper and Will of Stone, Dodge's world is populated by a unique breed of outdoorsmen who also live life on their own terms.

Dodge finds himself in the center of the action as the return of springtime has awakened the moss-covered world of Washington state. As the warmer weather brings the wildlife of the Hoh Rainforest out of hibernation, Dodge and friends gear up for the new activities that come along with the changing season. Whether he is harvesting seasonal berries to brew a fresh batch of the Dodge Family Forest Wine or drinking maple sap straight out of a tree, Dodge finds adventure every day in the wild.

Nicknamed "the Forrest Gump of Middle Earth," "Tree Beard," "the Barefoot Sensei," "the Hobbit" and "Big Foot," Dodge lives life by his own unique philosophy. Influenced by three generations of woodsmen before him, Dodge listened to his ingrained primal instinct and ventured deep into the Hoh Rainforest, dedicating his life to the nature around him ... while "dodging" modern civilization and the distractions that come with it. While he still occasionally dips back into society, his real passion in life is running through the wilderness, living life one barefoot step at a time.
As Dodge would say, "take off them shoes and see if you can keep up," with an all new season of The Legend of Mick Dodge.

Premiere episodes include:

The Legend of Mick Dodge: The Legend Returns
Tuesday, Sept. 30, 9 PM ET/PT

After a long, cold winter, Mick Dodge is eager to jump feet first into spring. Gearing up for the warm weather, he makes his usual trip to visit the house of his oldest friend ... but the visit turns out to be anything but ordinary. Mountain Man Karl hands over some of Mick's old family relics - including his grandfather's old journal. Mick's grandfather, a forest dweller himself, taught Mick how to live in the trees and make the forest his home. One such lesson was the art of stashing - hiding supplies in stumps and trees for later use. After discovering a map tucked away in his grandfather's journal, Mick sets out on a treasure hunt with hopes of unearthing Will Dodge's old stashes and other special relics.

The Legend of Mick Dodge: Call to Arms
Tuesday, Sept. 30, 9:30 PM ET/PT

In the Hoh Rainforest, Mick Dodge has received word from an old friend that hunters are illegally trespassing on his property. Though Mick can appreciate the ancient art of hunting, he cannot tolerate outlaws. Mick pledges his help to the cause and constructs a plan to sabotage the culprits. As he begins scouring the forest for the hunters, he and his good friend Norm quickly realize just how bold their adversaries are: A sign that was marking Norm's property boundary has been torn down and discarded. As it becomes clear that the hunters won't relent, Mick calls on his elusive friend Moss Hopper to join the fight. Tensions rise as the Hoh Rainforest's underground network rallies to defend its home.

The Legend of Mick Dodge: Man Down
Tuesday, Oct. 7, 9 PM ET/PT

With each changing season, the Hoh Rainforest offers new opportunities - and over the years, Mick Dodge has learned how to make the most of them. When birds known as thrushes begin calling in the trees overhead, it signals the arrival of warmer weather ... and for Mick, it means much more. The time has come for his favorite annual springtime ritual - harvesting sap straight from maple trees. Mick sets out on the journey to reach the hidden grove, and he relies on the help of his friend Karl to construct a homemade rope ladder for the trip. All is seemingly going to plan until Mick is suddenly dealt a blow that leads his day to unexpected places.

The Legend of Mick Dodge: Naked and Unafraid
Tuesday, Oct. 7, 9:30 PM ET/PT

When a routine river crossing goes wrong, Mick Dodge loses all of his gear ... including his clothes. Though he often dons his birthday suit for fun, the frigid temperature of this particular day means he must act fast. Naked and cold, Mick sets out on a mission to replace his lost leathers. Fortunately, Mick knows just where to go to get the clothes he needs. He heads straight for a primal crafter nicknamed Moon Hair who has tailored Mick's gear for a decade. En route to Moon Hair's cabin, Mick must do all he can to stay warm, including slathering glacial mud on his skin for insulation and sleeping on hot embers from the fire. Living in the wild, Mick is used to persevering in the elements ... but today will put him to the test.

The Legend of Mick Dodge is produced by Screaming Flea Productions and Pawn & A King Productions in association with Interchange Media Art Productions for National Geographic Channel.
