She would join Michael Fassbender -- currently in negotations to play Jobs -- and Seth Rogen, up for the part of Steve Wozniak.

Universal recently picked up Sony's dropped Steve JOBS biopic at a cost of more than $30 million.

Aaron Sorkin penned the script for the film, based on Walter Isaacson's biography of Jobs. Produced by Scott Rudin, Guymon Casady and Mark Gordon, the movie was set to begin production this winter.

The film was last described as being divided into three acts, each showing JOBS in preparation for an upcoming presentation that would eventually change his life and the future of his company.

Portman's upcoming big screen projects include Jane Got a Gun, A Tale of Love and Darkness and Knight of Cups. She recently appeared in The Heyday of the Insensitive Bastards, Thor: The Dark World and more.
