Natalie Dormer has lined up her next role.
With production on the final parts of THE HUNGER GAMES franchise wrapping up, the GAME OF THRONES star has signed on to lead a new supernatural thriller for Lava Bear Films, titled THE FOREST, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film is "set in the Aokigahara forest at the base of Mt. Fuji, centers on a young American woman (Dormer) who goes in search of her missing twin sister. Despite everyone's warnings to "stay on the path," Sara enters the forest determined to discover the truth about her sister's fate, only to be confronted by the angry and tormented souls of the dead who prey on anyone who wanders the forest."
Jason Zada directs the film, rewritten by Sarah Cornwell and Nick Antoscaand. The original idea comes from David S. Goyer.
Dormer was recently seen in Ron Howard's RUSH, followed by Ridley Scott's THE COUNSELOR. Her television credits include THRONES and THE TUDORS, as well as ELEMENTARY. She will next appear in the final two films of THE HUNGER GAMES franchise.
