Nat Geo WILD Kicks Off Weeklong SAFARI LIVE Event on Super Bowl Sunday Image

Ever dreamed of going on a real African safari? Here's your chance! NAT GEO WILD kicks off a special week of the popular series SAFARI LIVE on SUPER BOWL Sunday, Feb. 4, at 10 p.m. EST. Tune in to experience thrilling nightly safaris from Africa's most remarkable wildlife destinations. Journey deep into Kenya's famous Maasai Mara and South Africa's iconic Sabi Sands Game Reserve and come face-to-face with Africa's all-star wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo and many more as they play the ultimate game of survival. All you need is an appetite for adventure and a love for our wild friends in the African bush.

The SUPER BOWL isn't the only big game of the week. Throughout the week, SAFARI LIVE viewers will have a chance to enter to win a real, once-in-a-lifetime African safari trip by playing along with the interactive game SAFARI LIVE Bingo. Following the final broadcast of the weeklong event, the winner will be awarded a trip to an African destination of his or her choosing, courtesy of National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures. During each live broadcast, viewers are invited to check off items on their unique SAFARI LIVE Bingo board. Each time a viewer gets bingo, he or she is entered into the raffle for an epic trip to Africa. The more viewers play, the better your chance to win! Bingo boards will be available at natgeo.com/safarilive. Viewers can play as many boards as they would like throughout the week.

What sets SAFARI LIVE apart from everything else on television is the fact that viewers can interact with our expert play-by-play analysts live on Twitter using #safarilive as our specialists get up close with Africa's most iconic species. Our safari guides - Brent Leo-Smith (@BrentLeoSmith), Tayla McCurdy (@tay_mccurdy), James Hendry (@JamesRAHendry), Jamie Paterson (@jamiepaterson4) and others - will not only answer submitted questions but also quiz viewers on their wildlife knowledge and let them tell us where they want the game drive to go next. This is the "red zone" of the natural world!

Nat Geo WILD's daily online stream of SAFARI LIVE will continue every day, twice daily, on natgeo.com/safarilive. You can also catch special broadcasts of SAFARI LIVE on Facebook's Watch platform. About WildEarth WildEarth was founded in 2006 by Emily and Graham Wallington. The vision was to create a LIVE wildlife channel that simultaneously broadcasts on the Internet and TV. The principle involved taking the LIVE community-driven elements of a wildlife webcam and the high production values of a presenter-led TV series and get them working together at Djuma Game Reserve in South Africa. Broadcasting began on April 27, 2007. The number of shows increased, the number of hours per day that the safari went out increased and the number of minutes of video served increased to over 2 million per day. In 2017, WildEarth began also broadcasting from Kenya's Maasai Mara.
