The HUB Network, a destination for kids and their families, announced today that entertainment journalist Nancy O'Dell ("Entertainment Tonight"), actress Tamera Mowry-Housley ("The Real") and actresses Candace Cameron Bure ("Make It or Break It") and Gina Rodriguez ("Filly Brown"), along with their furry pets, will make a special celebrity paw-stumes appearance, on the "Hub Network's First Annual Halloween Bash," Saturday, October 26, 810 p.m. ET/57 p.m. PT. The star-studded event will also include celebrity appearances by Bill Nye the Science Guy, actress Joey King ("The Conjuring") and actor Nick Purcha ("Spooksville), including a performance by illusionist, Nathan Burton.
Named one of "Television Week's" 10 Most Bankable Stars in Syndication, Emmy Award-winning entertainment journalist Nancy O'Dell has proven to be a force in all areas of her career as a host, author, producer and entrepreneur. O'Dell is the co-host of the most watched entertainment news program in the world, "Entertainment Tonight." O'Dell's credits also include Being a contributing reporter on "CBS This Morning," NBC's "Today" show and "Dateline." She is the executive producer and host of "Celebrities at Home." O'Dell's dog is named Buttercup.
Actress Tamera-Mowry Housley gained fame from her popular 90's series "Sister, Sister" co-starring her twin sister, Tia Mowry. Mowry-Housley is currently featured with her sister on the reality TV series "Tia and Tamera," and is co-host of the daily talk show "The Real." Additional credits include the television movies "Christmas Angel," "To Sing About" and "Seventeen Again." Mowry Housley's dog is named Milano.
Candace Cameron Bure is an actress, producer, New York Times' bestselling author and inspirational speaker, who is known to millions worldwide from her role as "D.J. Tanner" on the iconic family sitcom "Full House." Cameron Bure continues to flourish in the entertainment industry by most recently starring in the television movies "Puppy Love" and "Moonlight & Mistletoe." Gina Rodriguez, known for her role in the hit Sundance film "Filly Brown," has also starred on "The Mentalist" and "Happy Endings." Rodriguez's additional credits include feature films "Our Family Wedding," "California Winter," "Go For It" and the upcoming indie flick "Sleeping with the Fishes." Rodriguez's dogs are named Casper and Ted.
Scientist, engineer, comedian, author, and inventor, Bill Nye the Science Guy, has used his love of science to foster a scientifically literate society by helping people everywhere understand and appreciate all things science. Nye has used his knowledge to educate people by appearing on television series such as "Back to the Future," "The Eye of Nye" and "Numb3rs." Most recently Nye appeared on the television competition dance series "Dancing with the Stars."
