ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.217 million) during the week of July 30, 2018, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" led CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" (1.063 million) by 154,000 and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.154 million) by 63,000.
"Nightline" (412,000 and 318,000, respectively) also beat CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" (324,000 and 235,000, respectively) in Adults 25-54 (+88,000) and Adults 18-49 (+83,000).
"Nightline" posted double-digit, week-to-week gains (1.070 million, 369,000 and 278,000, respectively, for w/o 7/23/18) across the board: Total Viewers (+14%), Adults 25-54 (+12%) and Adults 18-49 (+14%), drawing its largest overall audience in 8 weeks - since w/o 6/4/18.
"Nightline" improved year to year (1.110 million and 290,000, respectively, w/o 7/31/17) in Total Viewers (+10%) and Adults 18-49 (+10%).
"Nightline" cut its Adults 25-54 margin with NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" by 11% (52,000 vs. 80,000).
"Nightline" narrowed its year-to-year margins with NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" by double digits in Adults 25-54 (-45% - 52,000 vs. 95,000) and Adults 18-49 (-58% - 55,000 vs. 131,000).
Season to date, "Nightline" is beating CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in Adults 25-54 (+32,000 - 496,000 vs. 464,000) and Adults 18-49 (+31,000 - 375,000 vs. 344,000).
