ABC News' "Nightline" drew 1.173 million Total Viewers, 413,000 Adults 25-54 and 302,000 Adults 18-49 during the July 2018 sweep, based on Most Current Data from Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" beat CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" (1.118 million, 309,000 and 236,000, respectively) in Total Viewers(+55,000), Adults 25-54 (+104,000) and Adults 18-49 (+66,000), posting its largest July sweep margins ever in both key adult demos - "The Late Late Show with James Corden" premiered in March 2015.
In addition, "Nightline" saw its largest Total Viewer lead over the CBS program during any sweep in 6 sweeps periods and biggest sweep advantage in both key adult demos in nearly 3 years - since February 2017 and November 2015, respectively.
"Nightline" narrowed its gaps with NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" from the previous sweep (May 2018) by double digits in Total Viewers (-25% - 152,000 vs. 203,000), Adults 25-54 (-23% - 91,000 vs. 118,000) and Adults 18-49 (-26% - 67,000 vs. 91,000), posting its closest Adults 18-49 sweep performance in 2 years -since July 2016.
