In the seventh episode of NBC's reality competition show "Fashion Star" (from Friday, April 19, 8 - 9 p.m. ET), the contestants were paired once again and challenged to come up with designs that were reminiscent of a "night out on the town." In an added twist, the designers were asked to draw inspiration from the beautiful 2013 Fiats that were in the studio that week and then they directed their own photo shoot, along with famed photographer Timothy White.
Macy's and Express purchased creations from five designers,
Hunter Bell, Johana Hernandez, Silvia Arguello, Daniel Silverstein and duo JesseRay Vasquez and Garrett Gerson. Purchases totaled $525,000.
As determined by the mentors, designers Johana Hernandez and Daniel Silverstein developed the most eye-catching photo, featuring models that looked as if they were running alongside the sleek car. The pair went home, each with their own Fiat 500 turbo.
