NBC's WORKING THE ENGELS Ties for #2 in Time Period

The debut of "Welcome to Sweden" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3. NBC results: "welcome to sweden" out-rates all episodes of last summer's orig comedies; is #2 summer comedy debut in 5 years9 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:30 p.m. ET) grew+50% week to week versus last week's "Undateable" rating in the slot (with a 0.9 rating vs. 0.6). In the time period, "Welcome to Sweden" ranked #2 in adults 18-34 among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX and was #2 outright among those networks in adults 25-54. The debuting comedy retained 100% of its 18-49 lead-in from "Hollywood Game Night," while equaling NBC's top 18-49 rating in the slot since June 5 and delivering NBC's biggest overall audience in the time period since May 29.

"Welcome to Sweden" out-rated every episode of all three of last summer's original comedies on the Big 4 networks (NBC's "Save Me" and Fox's "Anger Management" and "The Goodwin Games") in adults 18-49 and total viewers.

"Welcome to Sweden" is the second-highest rated summer comedy debut in five years (since ABC's "The Goode Family" in 2009), behind only "Undateable" over that span) in 18-49 and total viewers and is NBC's second-highest rated summer comedy debut in 10 years (since "Come to Papa" in 2004), behind only "Undateable" over that span) in 18-49 and total viewers.

"Working the Engels" (0.7/2 in18-49, 2.8 million viewers overall from 9:30-10 p.m. ET) grew +38% week to week in total viewers versus last week's "Undateable" audience in the slot (2.755 million vs. 1.993 million).

"Working the Engels" tied for #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults, men and women 18-34.

"Last Comic Standing" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) ranks #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in the time period in adults 18-49. "Last Comic" finished #1 in The Hour for an eighth straight telecast versus all competition on those nets excluding the NBA Finals.

"Hollywood Game Night" (0.9/4 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) grew from its first half-hour to its second by +11% in 18-49 (to a 1.0 from a 0.9). "Hollywood Game Night" held steady or grew from half-hour to half-hour in every key ratings measure.


In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.8/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.0/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/4 with an encore.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.2/6; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
