NBC's telecast of the "The 73rdAnnual Golden Globe Awards" has scored as the #1 entertainment telecast on the Big 4 networks for the primetime week of Jan. 4-10, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, which also ranks the "Globes" #1 among non-sports programs on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and all key adult-female demos. Excluding sports programming, NBC ranked #1 for the week in adults 18-49, as well as adults 25-54, men 18-49 (tie) and all key adult-female demos.

NBC's week was paced by the "Globes," solid regular-slot premieres for Monday's "Superstore" and "Telenovela," a potent "Chicago" triple-crossover on Tuesday and Wednesday that generated 14-month highs for "Chicago P.D.," and NBC's most-watched Thursday series premiere in seven years from the debut of "Shades of Blue."

Note that rankings exclude sports overruns and pre- and post-game shows.

For the season, NBC is leading by a +17% margin in adults 18-49 (2.7 vs. a 2.3 for #2 CBS), up from the year-ago +13%, for the biggest margin through 16 weeks of the season for any network in 14 years, since NBC 's +18% lead at this point in 2001-02.

NBC is retaining 100% of its year-ago season average in adults 18-49 (2.7 vs. 2.7, "most current") and total viewers (9.384 million vs. 9.383 million), and is the only Big 4 network maintaining its full year ago results in either category.

Through the opening 16 weeks of the 2015-16 season, NBC ranks #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and all other key demos, while placing #2 in total viewers.
