NBC's TONIGHT SHOW,LATE NIGHT Dominate Timeslots

NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" have delivered commanding margins of victory versus their broadcast time-period competition for the week of July 29-Aug. 2 in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures.

For the week, Leno topped "Late Show with David Letterman" by a 36% margin in 18-49 viewers (1.0 million vs. 746,000) and by 24% in total viewers (3.5 million vs. 2.8 million), while beating "Jimmy Kimmel Live" by 48% in 18-49 viewers (1.0 million vs. 688,000) and 73% in total viewers (3.5 million vs. 2.0 million).

At 12:35 a.m. ET, Fallon generated his largest overall audience in six weeks (1.751 million, biggest since the week of June 17-21) and second-biggest 18-49 audience in six weeks (636,000, best since July 15-19 and before that since June 17-21). At 1:35 a.m. ET, "Last Call with Carson Daly" delivered its biggest 18-49 audience (376,000) since that week of June 17-21.

Note: CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" were in rebroadcast on Friday.

For the week, Fallon delivered more viewers 18-34 (261,000) than Letterman (218,000) and Kimmel (247,000), despite those shows starting an hour earlier when viewership levels are significantly higher. Fallon also out-delivered both those 11:35 shows last week in men 18-34 and men 18-49.

Leno has now delivered bigger 18-49 audiences than "Late Show" for the last 37 weeks in a row and topped "Kimmel" for 27 of their 30 head-to-head weeks. In total viewers, Leno has out-delivered "Late Show" for 41 weeks in a row and "Kimmel" for 30 of 30 weeks.

Fallon has now generated bigger 18-49 audiences than "Late Late Show" for 42 of the last 43 weeks and prevailed in total viewers for 39 of the last 41 weeks. Versus "Nightline" in their head-to-head half-hour, Fallon has out-delivered the ABC series for 30 of 30 weeks in viewers 18-49 and 25 of the last 27 weeks in total viewers.
