THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON has won the late-night ratings week of Sept. 11-15 versus its ABC and CBS time-period competition in every key ratings measure - adults, men and women 18-34; adults, men and women 18-49; and adults, men and women 25-54, plus total viewers -- according to "live plus same day" results from Nielsen Media Research.
For the week, "Tonight" generated a +32% margin of victory in adult 18-49 rating over ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," with a 0.58 rating versus a 0.44. CBS' "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" was in rebroadcast and averaged a 0.32 rating for the week. Friday's "Kimmel" was also an encore and Tuesday's telecast was retitled and excluded from weekly averages.
At 12:35 a.m. ET last week, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" finished #1 in the timeslot versus CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in all key ratings categories, and in their head-to-head half-hour from 12:30 to 1 a.m. ET, "Late Night" beat ABC's "Nightline" in every key measure.
Meyers' generated a +48% margin of victory versus "Late Late Show" for the week in adults 18-49, with a 0.34 rating average versus a 0.23.
