An encore week of THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON has taken the late-night ratings week of Aug. 28-Sept. 1 versus the rebroadcast time-period competition on ABC and CBS in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34; adults, men and women 18-49; and adults, men and women 25-54, plus total viewers, according to "live plus same day" results from Nielsen Media Research.
For the encore week, "Tonight" averaged a 0.52 rating in adults 18-49, to win the week over ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" rebroadcasts (0.35) by a +49% margin and over CBS' "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" encores (0.30) by +73%. In total viewers, Fallon's 2.112 million bested "Late Show's" 1.976 million by +136,000 viewers and "Kimmel's" 1.628 million by +484,000.
At 12:35 a.m. ET last week, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" encores outrated Colbert rebroadcasts in 18-49 (0.31 vs. 0.30), despite starting an hour later.
Meyers finished #1 in the timeslot versus CBS' rebroadcast week of "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in all key demographics, and in their head-to-head half-hour from 12:30 to 1 a.m. ET, "Late Night" also beat ABC's "Nightline" originals in every key measure.
Meyers' 18-49 margin over "Late Late Show" for the week was +72% (0.31 vs. 0.18).
At 1:35 a.m. ET for the week, "Last Call with Carson Daly" topped "Late Late Show" in 18-49 rating (0.21 vs. 0.18), despite starting an hour later.
