"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and "Late Night with Seth Meyers" have delivered strong #1 finishes for the late-night week of Sept. 1-5.

Fallon beat the combined 18-49 ratings of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," while Meyers outrated Kimmel and Letterman, despite starting an hour later.

Note that Monday results are excluded from these averages due to the Labor Day holiday

NBC's late-night week was paced by strong Thursday results following primetime coverage of the Packers-Seahawks NFL Kickoff game. Fallon's delayed telecast averaged a 1.49 rating in 18-49, best for "Tonight" since May 22 (Will Ferrell and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, 1.52). In total viewers, Thursday's telecast averaged 4.285 million, the most-watched night for Fallon since Aug. 14 (4.313 million, night of the "Last Comic Standing" finale)

Last Thursday's edition of "Late Night" (0.76 in 18-49, 1.884 million viewers overall) is the show's top-rated telecast in 18-49 since June 6 (0.78) and best in total viewers since June 10 (1.887 million).

For the week, Fallon's 1.12 rating in adults 18-49 topped the combined 0.97 of Kimmel (0.56) and Letterman (0.41). Meyers' 0.58 beat the 0.56 of Kimmel and the 0.41 of Letterman and doubled CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.25) head to head in the 12:35 a.m. ET hour.

The 0.58 for Meyers is his highest weeklong rating in 12 weeks (since a 0.59 for the week of June 9-13). Also, it was Meyers' best result in total viewers (1.684 million) in 18 weeks (since April 28-May 2, 1.697 million).

At 1:35 a.m. ET, rebroadcasts of "Last Call with Carson Daly" earned a 0.34 rating in adults 18-49, the show's top average in eight weeks (since the week of July 7-11, 0.35).
