Encores of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" have delivered a decisive win in late-night ratings for the holiday week of June 30-July 4, topping originals of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and encores of "Late Show with David Letterman."
Fallon encores beat Kimmel originals in all key measures, with a +41% margin in adults 18-49 (with a 0.86 rating vs. a 0.61), one week after Fallon rebroadcasts topped a week of four Kimmel originals and one encore by +40% (0.88 vs. 0.63). Note that all Friday results are excluded from the June 30-July 4 averages due to the July 4 holiday (all of the excluded ABC, CBS and NBC Friday shows were encores except for "Nightline"). At 12:35 a.m. ET last week, rebroadcasts of "Late Night with Seth Meyers" generated a +43% margin of victory over CBS's encores of "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (with a 0.40 rating vs. a 0.28). Meyers' rebroadcasts also beat originals of ABC's "Nightline" by a +21% margin in 18-49 in their head-to-head half-hour from 12:30-1 a.m. ET (with a 0.47 rating that half-hour vs. a 0.39).Videos
