Once again, more viewers turn to NBC News' TODAY during breaking news. For the week of 9/4, TODAY was the number-one morning show outright topping ABC's "Good Morning America" in total viewers and all demos, its first weekly win this year according to revised Nielsen ratings. For the week of 9/11, TODAY once again won the week in the key demo A25-54, marking 90 straight weeks in the top spot (106 of the last 107 weeks), its best streak in more than five years.

**PLEASE NOTE -- There are inconsistencies with the ratings data for the last two weeks:

Nielsen revised the original published ratings data for the week of 9/4 resulting in a total viewer win for TODAY. The original data previously reported that TODAY won that week in the key demo only, as opposed to an outright win in total viewers and the key demo.

For the week of 9/11, the ratings are completely misleading. On Monday, TODAY broadcast a special seven-hour edition of rolling news coverage of Hurricane Irma, and due to a clerical error with how the extended show was submitted, the official ratings do not accurately reflect total viewership and demo averages for the 7-9 a.m. hours that day and for the week. Nielsen is currently reviewing Monday's numbers.
