NBC's TODAY Cuts Gap with GMA for 2nd Quarter

NBC's TODAY continues to gain momentum and deliver solid ratings growth. For the second quarter of 2014, TODAY gained 50k in total viewers versus the second quarter of 2013, and has closed the gap with GMA by 6%. TODAY is the number-one morning show in rating A18-49, placing first for 80 consecutive quarters.

TODAY II, the third hour of TODAY, topped ABC's The View in total viewers and A25-54. TODAY III, the fourth hour of TODAY, posted its best 2Q in three years.

TODAY HIGHLIGHTS 2Q 2014:

TODAY is up +1% (+50,000) in total viewers versus 2Q'13 and has closed the gap with GMA by 6%

TODAY doubled CBS by +100% (+8 tenths)
- In A25-54 viewers, TODAY led CBS by +106% (+975,000)
- TODAY has widened its A25-54 viewer lead over CBS by 6% year-over-year

TODAY placed first in rating A18-49

WINNING STREAKS - TODAY has been #1 in:
Rating Adults 18-49 for 80 consecutive quarters
Rating Women 18-49 for 6 consecutive quarters
Rating Men 18-49 for 6 consecutive quarters

TODAY II & III HIGHLIGHTS 2Q 2014:

TODAY II (9am hour) averaged 3.044 million total viewers and a 0.9 A25-54 rating
- Beat The View by +1% (+26,000) in total viewers and +29% (+2 tenths) in the key demo

TODAY III (10am hour) averaged 1.990 million total viewers and a 0.6 A25-54 rating
- Posted its second highest 2Q delivery ever, best in three years
- Grew +4% (+69,000) in total viewers versus 2Q'13
