NBC's THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL Features Broncos vs Colts, Today Image

Week 15 kicks off on NBC's Thursday Night Football this Thursday, Dec. 14, as the Denver Broncos travel to Indianapolis, Ind., to take on the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium, in a broadcast which will feature SkyCam as the primary viewing angle. Coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. ET with Football Night in Indianapolis on NBC, the only network with two primetime NFL packages.

Thursday Night Football will also be televised by NFL Network, and streamed live on Amazon Prime Video, NBCSports.com, the NBC Sports app, NFL Mobile from Verizon, Watch NFL Network, the NFL app on Microsoft, and NFL Game Pass (International).

The Broncos SNAPPED an eight-game losing streak in Week 14, defeating the New York Jets 23-0. Linebacker Von Miller, who picked up his 10th sack of the season, has recorded at least 10 sacks in six of his seven career seasons and leads the NFL with 83.5 sacks since entering the league in 2011.

The Colts look to bounce back following a 13-7 overtime loss in the snow in Buffalo last week. RB Frank Gore rushed for 130 yards in Week 14. Gore, who has 941 scrimmage yards this season, can become the second player in NFL history with at least 1,000 scrimmage yards in 12 consecutive seasons, joining Pro Football Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith, who accomplished the feat in 13 consecutive seasons from 1990-2002.

On Thursday night, NBC will utilize its SkyCam system as the primary-viewing angle for live game coverage. NBC will have its full complement of TNF cameras and will revert to traditional coverage when situations dictate, but the primary viewing experience of the game will come from the SkyCam angle. NBC utilized SkyCam as the primary viewing angle for the first time on the November 16 Thursday Night Football telecast of Titans-Steelers.

NBC's SkyCam coverage received widespread acclaim from viewers when it was pressed into action due to fog during NBC SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL in Week 7. In that game, the Falcons-Patriots SUPER BOWL LI rematch on October 22, fog rolled into Gillette Stadium late in the first half. After halftime, SkyCam technology provided the best camera angles to offer consistent and clear views of the live action. SkyCam was also used early in the third quarter of the Nov. 5 SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL game (Raiders at Dolphins) as residual smoke from halftime fireworks obscured the traditional camera angles.

Calling Broncos-Colts are Mike Tirico (play-by-play) and 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth, joined by sideline reporter Heather Cox.

Liam McHugh will serve as the host of the Football Night in Indianapolis pregame show from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. He will be joined on-site by Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy, who lead the Colts to a SUPER BOWL XLI victory, and two-time SUPER BOWL champion Rodney Harrison.

Sam Flood is executive producer of NBC Sports and NBCSN. Fred Gaudelli is the executive producer of NBC's SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL and Thursday Night Football. Drew Esocoff is director of SNF and TNF. Rob Hyland is coordinating producer of Thursday Night Football.

NBC's THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FEATURES SPECIAL THEME MUSIC, SHOW OPEN & GRAPHICS

Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum recording artist Pentatonix will perform the Thursday Night Football show open. The show open celebrates the start of the NFL weekend, with game highlights and player cameos.

The Thursday Night Football theme music was composed and produced by Grammy Award-nominated producer and songwriter Jimmy Greco, and features the string section from the orchestra of Tony Award-winning Broadway blockbuster Hamilton under the direction of violinist and Hamilton concertmaster Jonathan Dinklage. The new music - entitled "Can't Hold Us Down" - is a high energy, melodic piece combining a modern pop musical arrangement, mixed with a traditional anthemic feeling found in classic sports themes.

In addition, TNF on NBC will feature a special graphics package, defined by bright colors, highly energized motion design and vibrant neon trimmed logos. The graphics package was designed to shine at its brightest in the game broadcast, extending from pre-game through to post-game, and was uniquely created to help celebrate Thursday night as the kickoff of the NFL Weekend.
