The show scores its highest 18-49 rating since Feb. 21 (1.4 Tuesday at 8 p.m.) and biggest overall audience since Feb. 7 (6.142 million). Ties as the #2 show of the night in 18-49. Ranks #2 in the competitive time period in 18-49, total viewers and all other key measures.
The show is currently nearly equaling "Big Brother" for #1 in total viewers (6.037 million vs. 6.052 million), pending updates. Will add significant viewership via time-shifting and VOD -- in L+7, "The Wall" has increased by +14% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+7 (from a 1.36 to a 1.55) and +624,000 viewers overall (5.7 million to 6.3 million). Upscale: "The Wall" is generating a solid upscale audience so far this season, indexing at a 111 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (with 100 representing an average concentration of those homes).
"The Night Shift" (0.7/3 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET): Hits a season high in total viewers. Ties for its season high in 18-49. Wins the slot among ABC,
CBS and
NBC in total viewers and ties for #1 in 18-49. Maintains 100% week to week in 18-49 (0.7 vs. 0.7) and grows +4% in total viewers (4.427 million vs. 4.240 million). It's a third straight week of total-viewer growth at the start of "Night Shift's" fourth season. Increases by +2.1 million persons or +93% versus NBC's average in the timeslot last summer in total viewers (4.427 million vs. 2.296 million, L+SD non-sports) and by +17% in 18-49 (0.7 vs. 0.6). Will add substantial viewership via time-shiftingo Last week's telecast increased by +41% in 18-49 (0.69 to 0.97) and +1.5 million viewers overall (4.2 million to 5.7 million) going from L+SD to L+3 Nielsens. Those were the biggest lifts of the night on the Big 4 networks in 18-49 percentage and total viewers. In L+7, "The Night Shift" is growing by +49% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+7 (from a 0.68 to a 1.01) and +1.7 million viewers overall (3.9 million to 5.6 million).
An encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (1.2/6 in 18-49, 6.9 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET): Is the #1 show of the night in total viewers. Wins the hour among the Big 4 networks in 18-49 and total viewers. Also ranks #1 in the timeslot among those nets in every other key measure. Grows half-hour to half-hour in all key categories.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.7/4 with an encore; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.4/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.6/4.
In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.4/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.
From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.0/3 with an
encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2 with an encore.
At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
