Last week's "Blindspot" grew by +64% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+3 ratings (2.24 to 3.68) and by 4.4 million viewers overall (8.0 million to 12.4 million), to generate the #1 increases of the night on the Big 4 in 18-49 rating (+1.44) and percentage (+64%) and total-viewer persons (+4.392 million) and percentage (+55%).
Last week's total-viewer increase of +4.392 million was the biggest L+3 lift for any broadcast program since Oct. 19 ("Blindspot," +4.402 million).
Upscale: "Blindspot" is generating a strong upscale audience, indexing at a 124 among adults 18-49 living in home with $100K+ incomes. Last week's telecast was the night's most upscale scripted show on the Big 4 (112 index, L+SD).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night:
In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.6/7; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.0/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.
In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.
From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).
At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
For the Week:
NBC has won the primetime ratings week of Nov. 2-8 among the Big 4 networks in the key demographic of adults 18-49, giving the network six wins in the season's first seven weeks and keeping
NBC #1 or tied for #1 for the 17th time in the last 18 weeks.
NBC's "Sunday Night Football" ranked #1 for the week of Nov. 2-8 among primetime shows on ABC, CBS,
NBC and
FOX in adults 18-49 and total viewers and all other key measures (including a tie for #1 in women 18-34).
Joining Sunday's Eagles-Cowboys game among the week's Top 20 primetime telecasts on the Big 4 were Monday's "Voice" (#6), Monday's "Blindspot" (tied for #10), Tuesday's "Voice" encore recap (tied for #13) and Tuesday's "Chicago Fire" (#20). Rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows.
According to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research,
NBC averaged a 2.4 rating, 8 share in adults 18-49 and 8.3 million viewers overall for the week, NBC's top results in both measures in the last three weeks (since the week of Oct. 12-18, 2.4 in 18-49, 8.4 million viewers overall). The last time
NBC topped this week's 2.4 rating in 18-49 was the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 4 (2.7).
NBC ranked #1 among the Big 4 networks for the week in adults 18-49 and total viewers, while also ranking #1 or tied for #1 in men and women 18-49, adults and men 18-34 and adults, men and women 25-54. Versus the same week last year,
NBC was up +9% in adults 18-49 (with a 2.4 rating vs. a 2.2) and up +6% in total viewers (8.3 million vs. 7.8 million), while also growing in viewership versus the year-ago week in nearly every other key measure.
Through the opening seven weeks of the 2015-16 season,
NBC ranks #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and every other key demo (including a tie for #1 in women 18-34) and is #2 in total viewers.
NBC is running within a tenth of a rating point of its year-ago season average in adults 18-49 (2.8 vs. 2.9, "most current"), is matching its year-ago 25-54 rating (3.5 vs. 3.5) and is up slightly in total viewers (9.631 million vs. 9.925 million), making it the only Big 4 net up versus last season in that measure.
NBC is also up versus last season in men 18-49 (2.8 vs. 2.7) and men 25-54 (3.4 vs. 3.3).
