NBC's THE VOICE Wins Time Period Among Big 4 in Every Key Measure

NBC ranks #1 for Monday night among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and all other key measures (included a tie in men 25-54). It's the 19th Monday in a row that NBC has ranked #1 or tied for #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in 18-49.

"The Voice" (2.8/9 in 18-49, 12.1 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) jumps +22% versus the comparable telecast from the prior cycle (2.8 vs. 2.3 for the fifth Monday live telecast in the spring on May 4) and +23% in total viewers (12.149 million vs. 9.905 million).

Versus the same night last year, is up +12% in both 18-49 (2.8 vs. 2.5 on Dec. 8, 2014) and total viewers (12.149 million vs. 10.841 million).

Retains 100% of last week in 18-49 (2.8 vs. 2.8).

Is winning the time period among the Big 4 in every key measure.

Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting and VOD - last week's "Voice" increased by +21% in 18-49 rating going from "live plus same day" to "live plus three day" Nielsens (from a 2.81 rating to a 3.40) and by 1.5 million viewers overall (from 12.6 million to 14.1 million).

Upscale: Monday's "Voice" is delivering a solidly upscale audience, indexing at a 116 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes ("most current," including L+3, 100 represents an average concentration of those homes). This week's telecast was the night's most upscale show on the Big 4 (107 index, L+SD).

A special preview of "Telenovela" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall from 10-10:30 p.m. ET):
· Generated significant sampling in its special post-"Voice" telecasts.

· Facing high-rated Cowboys-Redskins NFL football on ESPN and an original "NCIS: LA" on CBS, is tied for #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49.

· Ranks #1 outright among those networks in adults 18-34, women 18-34 and women 18-49

· Versus week two of ABC's "Great Holiday Baking Show," is outrating its ABC competition in every key demographic from 10-10:30 (and note that ABC's ratings are likely to come down in official nationals due to an NFL preemption in Dallas).

A second telecast of "Telenovela" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall from 10:30-11 p.m. ET):
· Is very close to rounding up to a 0.9 (currently reporting a 0.84 in these prelim results).

· Is currently tied for #2 among ABC, CBS and NBC in women 18-34 (with a 0.7 rating).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.8/7; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.1/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.


· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.


· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


For the Week:

· NBC has won the primetime ratings week of Nov. 30-Dec. 6 in adults 18-49 and total viewers, with "Sunday Night Football," "The Wiz Live!" and two editions of "The Voice" accounting for four of the week's top seven primetime telecasts on the Big 4 networks in 18-49.


· Joining that foursome among the week's top 30 prime programs on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX are two Monday preview telecasts of "Superstore" (tied for #13 and #22), Tuesday's "Chicago Med" (tied for #13), Tuesday's "Chicago Fire" (#18), Wednesday's "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" (tied for #28) and Wednesday's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (tied for #28). Rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows.


· Thursday's "The Wiz Live!" was the #2 entertainment telecast of the week on the Big 4 in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, adults 18-34 and all key adult-female demos, behind only Fox's "Empire" in each measure. Among prime telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, "The Wiz Live!" tied for #1 for the week among kids 2-11 with CBS's "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" (3.2 rating each).


· Sunday's Colts-Steelers "Sunday Night Football" ranked #1 in primetime for the week among adults 18-49, total viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos. "SNF" has finished #1 in both 18-49 and total viewers every week this season (L+SD).


· NBC has now won 10 of the season's first 11 weeks in 18-49 and finished #1 or tied for #1 for 21 of the last 22 weeks, trailing over that span only FOX the week it aired five WORLD SERIES games.


· Through the opening 11 weeks of the 2015-16 season, NBC ranks #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and all other key demos, while running #2 in total viewers.


· NBC is rating within a tenth of a point of its year-ago season average in adults 18-49 (2.9 vs. 3.0, "most current"), is even in adults 25-54 (3.6 vs. 3.6), is up +1% in total viewers (10.0 million vs. 9.9 million) and up +6% in men 25-54 (3.6 vs. 3.4).


· NBC's season average in total viewers, 10.032 million, is up slightly versus the prior two seasons, making this NBC's most-watched season at this point in nine years (since average 10.3 million through 11 weeks in 2006-07.
