NBC's THE VOICE Ties for #1 Show of the Night Among Big 4 in Key Demos

NBC wins Tuesday among the Big 4 in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, adults 18-34 and all key adult-female demos. Among adults 18-34, "Voice," "Chicago Med" and "Chicago Fire" tie as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4.

"Chicago Fire" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 8.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET): Ranks #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key measure and wins the slot by a +55% margin among those nets in adults 18-49 (1.7 vs. 1.1 for CBS's #2 "Limitless").

On a night of strong news interest in the New York primary, grows +13% versus the show's prior telecast in 18-49 (1.7 vs. 1.5 on April 5) and +6% in total viewers (8.164 million vs. 7.679 million).

Matches its highest 18-49 rating since Feb. 9 (1.8).

Delivers its 26thconsecutive time-period win in 18-49 versus regular ABC-CBS competition in the 10-11 p.m. slot when in original, dating back to February 2015.

Ties as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-34 with NBC's "The Voice" and "Chicago Med."

Will add substantial audience via time-shifting and VOD:

The prior "Fire" increased by +58% in 18-49 (1.53 to 2.41) and more than 3.0 million viewers (7.7 million to 10.7 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

"Fire's" lifts of 0.88 of a point in 18-49 and 3.064 million viewers overall were the biggest L+3 increases of the night on the Big 4.

"Chicago Med" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 8.1 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET): Ties for the time-period win in adults 18-49 and ranks #1 outright in the slot among the Big 4 in adults, men and women 18-34, women 18-49 and women 25-54.

Grows +7% versus its prior telecast in 18-49 (1.6 vs. 1.5 in 18-49 on April 5) and +12% in total viewers (8.120 million vs. 7.228 million).

Facing election coverage on multiple cable networks, equals its second-best 18-49 rating since Jan. 26 (1.7), trailing over that span only its 1.8 on March 29.

Is up +33% versus NBC's April 2015 non-"Voice" average in the time period (1.6 vs. 1.2 for comedies) and is up +96% in total viewers (8.120 million vs. 4.149 million).

Ties as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-34 with NBC's "The Voice" and "Chicago Fire."

Will add substantial audience via time-shifting and VOD - "Med has grown by +47% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.76 to a 2.58) and 2.8 million viewers overall (7.9 million to 10.7 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"The Voice" (1.8/7 in 18-49, 9.7 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET): Ties as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 as well as adults 18-34.

On a night of strong viewer interest in Presidential campaign coverage, retains 86% of the 2.1 for the prior Tuesday's 8-9 p.m. hour in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings and 82% of that night's 2.2 from 8-9 in official nationals.

In total viewers, retains +91% last week's 10.587 million in fast-affiliate figures from 8-9 p.m.

Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting and VOD - Tuesday's "Voice" has increased by +25% in 18-49 rating (from a 2.88 to a 3.59) and 2.1 million viewers overall (11.9 million to 14.0 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Upscale: Tuesday's "Voice" has delivered a solidly upscale audience, indexing at a 117 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes ("most current," including L+3).


In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.3/6 with an encore telecast; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.1/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.6/4.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households with an encore) tied CBS's first-run "Late Late Show" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
