In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.
From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).
At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
For the Week:
NBC has averaged a 1.0 rating, 3 share in adults 18-49 and 4.4 million viewers overall for the primetime ratings week of Feb. 22-28, according to "live plus same day" results from Nielsen Media Research.
Ranking among the week's top 35 primetime telecasts on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 were "Chicago Fire," "Chicago P.D.," "Chicago Med," "Law & Order: SVU," "Superstore" and "The Blacklist."
Season to date,
NBC is running within 0.1 of a rating point of #1 behind Super Bowl- and Grammy-boosted
CBS in adults 18-49 and is tied for #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-34 and women 18-34.
NBC's total-viewer average of 8.586 million is the network's highest at this point in a season without a
SUPER BOWL or Olympic boost since 2007-08 (8.609 million).
With 25 of 28 nights counted in the February 2016 sweep, "most current" Nielsen averages in adults 18-49 are: CBS, a 3.7 rating; ABC, 1.9; Fox, 1.4; NBC, 1.2; and CW, 0.8. In overall total viewers, the sweep averages are: CBS, 14.8 million; ABC, 7.2 million; NBC, 5.3 million; Fox, 4.6 million; and CW, 2.1 million.
In the 10:30 lead-in to local news for the February 2016 sweep,
NBC currently ranks first in the key news demographic of adults 25-54 Monday through Friday, moving from #3 during the same 25 nights in February 2015 to #1 in February 2016. Those "most current" 25-54 averages are: NBC, a 2.2 rating; CBS, 2.1; ABC, 1.7.
