NBC's THE VOICE Ranks as #1 for Monday Night Among Big 4

"The Voice" (2.3/7 in 18-49, 9.7 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49 and other key demos and won its time period among those nets in adults, men and women 18-49 and adults, men and women 25-54.

"The Voice" will add significant viewership via time-shifting: Monday's "Voice" has grown by +25% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+7 (from a 3.38 to a 4.24) and by 2.2 million viewers overall (12.2 million to 14.4 million).

"The Night Shift" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) is currently reporting week-to-week gains of +8% in adults 18-49 (1.3 vs. 1.2) and +14% in total viewers (5.632 million vs. 4.938 million), pending updates.

"The Night Shift" is currently delivering its most-watched episode since March 2 (6.1 million), the show's second original of the season and matching its top 18-49 rating since April 6 (1.4), pending updates. And note that last night's telecast is close to rounding up in adults 18-49, currently reporting a 1.34 rating.

"The Night Shift" is running within 0.2 of the time-slot lead among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 (1.3 vs. 1.5 that hour for CBS's David Letterman special) and is tied for #1 among those nets in women 18-49 (with a 1.8 rating).

"The Night Shift" will add significant viewership via time-shifting: "The Night Shift" has increased by +37% in 18-49 rating this season (from a 1.36 to a 1.86) and 1.7 million viewers overall (5.5 million to 7.2 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.5/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 3.5/9; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.2/6.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.7/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.5/5 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) trailed CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden" (1.5/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

For the Week:

"The Voice" has teamed with "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" to capture three of the top eight rankings in adults 18-49 among primetime telecasts on the Big 4 networks for the week of April 27-May 3, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, with NBC averaging a 1.2 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 5.6 million viewers overall for the week.

Last week's triple-crossover event involving "Law & Order: SVU," "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago P.D." Tuesday and Wednesday nights generated top-30 rankings for all three shows in adults 18-49.

For the week, Monday's "The Voice" tied for #3 among Big 4 primetime programs in adults 18-49, Tuesday's "Voice" tied for #5, Wednesday's "SVU" finished in a tie for #7, Wednesday's "Chicago P.D." tied for #16 and Tuesday's "Chicago Fire" tied for #24.

For the 2014-15 season to date, NBC ranks #1 or tied for #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 as well as men and women 18-49 and adults and men 18-34.

In total viewers, NBC is #2 for the season, and running within 7% of its year-ago Olympics-boosted average (8.8 million vs. 9.5 million), making this season and last NBC's two top-scoring seasons in total viewers at this point since the 2006-07 season. This is the second year in a row NBC has ranked #2 in total viewers at this point in the season, marking first two times since 2003-04 that NBC has ranked higher than #4 in total viewers at this point.
