NBC's THE VOICE Ranks #1 & #2 Among Primetime Programs

With "The Voice" ranking #1 and #2 among primetime programs on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49, total viewers, adults 18-34, adults 25-54, teens 12-17 and kids 2-11 for the week of April 15-21, NBC has delivered its highest weeklong 18-49 and total-viewer results in 14 weeks (since the week of January 7-13).

NBC's 1.8 rating in adults 18-49 pulled it within a tenth of a rating point of the 1.9 for #1 Fox. NBC ranked #1 for the week among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in women 18-49 and women 25-54 (tie).

The Monday edition of "The Voice" ranked #1 virtually across the board among primetime telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, with the broad-based hit topping the rankers in adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, teens 12-17, kids 2-11, adults 35-49 and total viewers.

The Tuesday telecast of "The Voice" finished #2 for the week in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, all key women categories, men 18-34 (tie), men 18-49, teens 12-17, kids 2-11, adults 35-49 and total viewers.

Monday's primetime NBC News coverage of the Boston Marathon bombing tied for #6 for the week in adults 18-49.

For a fourth straight week, both telecasts of "The Voice" topped both telecasts of "American Idol" in both 18-49 and total viewers. Last week's two "Voice" telecasts averaged a 5.2 and 4.6 in 18-49 and 14.4 million and 14.2 million in total viewers, while "Idol" earned a 3.4 and 3.0 in 18-49 and 12.7 million and 12.4 million in total viewers.
