NBC's THE VOICE Matches Its Tuesday Season High

NBC won its third consecutive Tuesday night in adults 18-49 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, with "The Voice" matching its Tuesday season high in 18-49. "The Voice" is #1 for the night in both 18-49 and total viewers.

From 8-9:01 p.m. ET, "The Voice" (4.5/14 in 18-49, 13.8 million viewers overall) equaled its Tuesday season high in 18-49, growing versus its prior telecast by 2 percent (to a 4.5 from a 4.4 on April 9 in official nationals) and is also up by 7 percent versus last week's 4.2 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings. Note that all three prior Tuesday editions of "The Voice" to date have grown by 0.2 of a point going from these fast-affiliate results to official nationals. In total viewers, last night's "Voice" is up 4 percent versus last week (13.782 million vs. 13.312 million).

Last night's "Voice" is up 36 percent versus the year-ago Tuesday telecast in 18-49 (with a 4.5 rating vs. a 3.3 from 9-10 p.m. on April 17, 2012). In total viewers, "The Voice" is up 56 percent versus the same night last year (13.782 million vs. 8.859 million).

"The Voice" delivered the #1 rating of the night in adults 18-49, more than doubling the #2 show on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX (+114 percent vs. the 2.1 each for CBS's 9 p.m. "NCIS" Encore and ABC's 9 p.m. "Dancing With the Stars"). "The Voice" is also #1 for the night on those networks in total viewers, topping "Dancing With the Stars" (13.8 million at 8 p.m. vs. 12.5 million at 9 p.m.) for the fourth time in two weeks, twice in a row on Monday nights and twice in a row on Tuesday nights.

From its first half-hour to its second, "The Voice" grew by 0.7 of a point or 17 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 4.8 from a 4.1) and by 13 percent or 1.7 million persons in total viewers (14.6 million vs. 12.9 million).

From 9:01-11 p.m. ET, "Ready for Love" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 3.4 million in total viewers) finished within 0.2 of a point of last week's premiere 1.5 rating in 18-49 and finished within 8 percent of last week's 3.7 million viewers overall. In the time period, "Ready for Love" is tied for #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-34 and women 18-34.

For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Ready for Love" was #1 among ABC,CBS and NBC in women 18-34 (with a 1.1 rating).

NBC is #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults, men and women 18-34; adults, men and women 18-49; and adults and women 25-54.


In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.5/7 with an Encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.6/7.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 Wednesday results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.7/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.5/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.9/5.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET Wednesday night, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.5/5 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.1/4 in metered-market households with an encore) tied CBS's first-run "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an Encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
