Will grow dramatically via time-shifting and VOD viewership: L+3: Last week's "Blindspot" grew by +62% going from L+SD to L+3 ratings in 18-49 (1.41 to 2.28) and by 3.0 million viewers overall (5.6 million to 8.6 million).
That April 25 "Blindspot" delivered Monday's biggest L+3 lifts in 18-49 and total viewers.
L+7: "Blindspot" has increased by +80% this season in 18-49 rating (from a 2.02 to a 3.63) and more than 5.0 million viewers overall (7.4 million to 12.5 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
Upscale: "Blindspot" is generating a strong upscale audience, indexing at a 125 among adults 18-49 living in home with $100K+ incomes ("most current," including L+3). Last week's "Blindspot" was the night's #2 most upscale telecast on the Big 4, behind only "The Voice," indexing at a 118.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.5/6; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.1/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.
In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2.
From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).
At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
For the Week:
NBC has finished #2 in total viewers for the primetime ratings week of April 25-May 1, while also ranking #2 among the Big 4 networks in adults 25-54, men 25-54 and men 18-49 and tying for #1 in men 18-34, according to "live plus same day" figures from Nielsen Media Research.
Placing in the top 20 for the week among primetime Big 4 telecasts in the key demographic of adults 18-49 were Monday and Tuesday editions of "The Voice" (tied for #4), Tuesday's "Chicago Med" (tied for #7), Tuesday's "Chicago Fire" (tied for #9), Sunday's "Little Big Shots" (tied for #9) and Monday's "Blindspot" (#20).
Versus the same week last year,
NBC retained 100% of its rating in adults 25-54, adults 18-34, men 25-54 and men 18-49 and grew in men 18-34.
Season to date,
NBC is running within 0.1 of a rating point of #1 behind Super Bowl-boosted
CBS in adults 18-49, and is tied for #1 among ABC, CBS,
NBC and
FOX in adults 18-34 and women 18-49.
NBC's total-viewer average of 8.246 million is the network's highest at this point in a season without a
SUPER BOWL or Olympic boost since 2007-08 (also 8.246 million).
