In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.3/6 with an encore telecast; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.2/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.
In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.
From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's first-run "Late Late Show" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).
At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
For the Week:
NBC has tied for the weeklong ratings victory in primetime results for the week of April 11-17 in the key demographic of adults 18-49, as well as adults 25-54, according to "live plus same day" figures from Nielsen Media Research.
Monday and Tuesday telecasts of "The Voice" tied for the #2 show of the week among primetime programs on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and they were joined in the Nielsen Top 25 by Sunday's "Little Big Shots" (tied for #9), Wednesday's special "Voice" (tied for #9), Tuesday's "Silence" preview (tied for #20), Monday's "Blindspot" (tied for #20) and Thursday's "Blacklist" (tied for #20).
In total viewers,
NBC delivered three of the week's five most watched primetime shows on ABC, CBS,
NBC or Fox, with Tuesday's "Voice" (#2), "Little Big Shots" (#3) and Monday's "Voice" (#5).
"Little Big Shots" also ranked #2 for the week on the Big 4 in kids 2-11 and tied for #2 in teens 12-17.
NBC grew versus the same week last year by +9% in adults 18-49 (with a 1.2 rating vs. a 1.1), +6% in adults 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.6) and +13% in total viewers (5.7 million vs. 5.0 million).
Season to date,
NBC is running within 0.2 of a rating point of #1 behind Super Bowl-boosted
CBS in adults 18-49 and is tied for #1 in adults 18-34.
NBC's total-viewer average of 8.353 million is the network's highest at this point in a season without a
SUPER BOWL or Olympic boost since 2006-07 (9.190 million).
