From 8-9 p.m. ET, "Dateline: Behind Closed Doors" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall) equaled its week-ago ratings in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 (1.6), in a highly competitive time-period versus Fox's "American Idol," CBS's "Survivor" and ABC's "Suburgatory." "Dateline" was up versus NBC's season average in the time period prior to "Dateline" by 25 percent in total viewers (5.060 million vs. 4.059 million).

At 9 p.m. ET, an Encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.1/3 in adults 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall) grew versus last week's rebroadcast by 22 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 0.9) and 19 percent in total viewers (4.498 million vs. 3.772 million). From its first half-hour to its second, "SVU" grew by 10 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 1.0). Keep in mind that last season, "Law & Order: SVU" originals added an average of 47 percent to these next-day "live plus same day" ratings in 18-49 when Nielsen reported "live plus seven day" results.
At 10 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Chicago Fire" (1.0/3 in adults 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall) retained 91 percent of its lead-in in adult 18-49 rating. In the hour, "Chicago Fire" finished within 0.2 of a point of the time-period lead among ABC,
CBS and
NBC in adults 18-49 (vs. CBS's "Elementary" rebroadcast, 1.2). In adults 25-54, "Chicago Fire" grew from its first half-hour to its second by 8 percent (to a 1.3 from a 1.2), despite airing in the 10 p.m. hour.

Encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 Wednesday results were: "The Tonight Show with
Jay Leno," 0.8/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.5/3 with an encore; and "
Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.9/4.
From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET Wednesday night, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with
Jimmy Fallon" (1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore) trailed CBS's first-run "Late Late Show with
Craig Ferguson" (1.3/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.4/2).
At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with
Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an
Encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
