NBC's SUV and CHICAGO P.D. Grow Vs. Last Week's Fast-Affil Ratings

NBC's "Chicago P.D." (1.4/5 in 18-49, 6.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET): Grows +8% versus last week's 1.3 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings in 18-49 and retains 100% of last week's 1.4 in official nationals.

In total viewers (6.138 million), retains 99% of both last week's 6.170 million in fast-affiliate ratings and 6.218 million in official nationals.

Finishes within 0.2 of a point of ABC's "Designated Survivor" in the time period in adults 18-49 (1.4 vs. 1.6), equaling last week's closest-yet finish to the ABC drama (also 1.4 vs. 1.6 in official nationals).

Ranks #2 or tied for #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in most key measure and ties for #1 in women 18-34 with "Designated Survivor" (1.0 each).

Tops CBS's "Code Black" in the time period in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, adults 18-34 and total viewers.

Despite the 10 p.m. hour, grows half-hour to half-hour in adults 25-54 (1.7 to 1.8) and total viewers (6.129 million to 6.148 million) while "Designated Survivor" and "Code Black" decline in both categories.

Will add significant viewership via time-shifting and VOD - "Chicago P.D." is increasing by +73% in 18-49 rating so far this season going from L+SD to L+7 (from a 1.5 to a 2.6) and 3.9 million viewers overall (6.4 million to 10.3 million)..

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.4/5 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET): Increases by +8% versus last week's 1.3 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings and retains 100% versus last week's 1.4 in official nationals.

In total viewers (5.707 million), is up versus last week's 5.705 million in fast-affiliate ratings while retaining 99% of last week's 5.757 million in official nationals.

Is up +8% versus what the show was averaging at the end of last season in 18-49 (1.4 vs. 1.3 during the May sweep).

Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting and VOD - "SVU" has grown by +81% so far this season in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+7 (from a 1.6 to a 2.9) and more than 3.7 million viewers overall (6.5 million to 10.3 million). Upscale: "SVU" is generating a solid upscale audience, indexing at a 109 among adults 18-49 living in $100K+ homes.


"Blindspot" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET): Retains 97% of last week's 5.613 million viewers in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings and 95% of last week's 5.708 million in official nationals.

Will add significant viewership via time-shifting and VOD - "Blindspot" has increased by +71% so far this season in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+7 (from a 1.4 to a 2.4) and 3.4 million viewers overall (6.1 million to 9.5 million).

Upscale: Is delivering a strong upscale audience, indexing at a 121 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (100 represents an average concentration of those homes).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday Night:

"Late Night with Seth Meyers," originating this week from Washington, D.C., scored its highest Wednesday rating in more than six months in metered-market households. Last night's 1.4 is "Late Night's" highest for a Wednesday since March 23 (1.4) and the last time late night rated higher in the metered markets on a Wednesday was March 2 (1.5). Meyers' guests Wednesday were Vice President Joe Biden, Dr. Jill Biden and musical guest Sturgill Simpson.

In national results for Monday's first show from Washington, D.C., "Late Night" delivered its 2nd most-watched Monday in 10 months (1.682 million, second-best since Dec. 14, 2015, 1.734 million), trailing over that span only the Sept. 26 telecast (1.750 million), the night Seth went live following the first Presidential debate.

Last night, "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" matched its highest Wednesday rating (2.6 in metered-market households) since July 13 (2.7). Fallon's guest Wednesday were Bryan Cranston, Dakota Fanning and musical guest Barry Gibb.

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.6/7; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.7/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/4; "Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/4.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.4/5 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 0.9/3 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/1 with an encore.

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
