NBC's MEET THE PRESS is Most-Watched Sunday Public Affairs Hour

More viewers tuned into "Meet the Press" on Nov. 10, 2013 than any other Sunday public affairs hour, according to Nielsen Media Research data. The NBC broadcast drew 2.894 million viewers and 809,000 viewers A25-54, topping the competition in total viewers and the key demo. "Meet the Press" had its biggest total viewer advantage over This Week since July 7, 2013. The program had its second consecutive week of total viewer growth, and had its best total viewer and A25-54 rating deliveries in four weeks.

MTP delivered an additional 1.409 million total viewers and 688,000 A25-54 viewers with rebroadcasts - 688,000 total viewers and 427,000 A25-54 viewers on the network and 721,000 total viewers and 261,000 A25-54 viewers on MSNBC.

In Washington, DC, MTP averaged 80,000 total viewers (2.6/8HH), +111% ahead of Fox News Sunday's 38,000 viewers (1.5/4), +176% more than Face the Nation hour's 29,000 (0.9/2), and +300% ahead of This Week's 20,000 (0.8/2).

Highlights:

• MTP averaged 2.894 million total viewers, +10% (+270,000) more than This Week's 2.624 million, +30% (+661,000) more than Face the Nation hour's 2.233 million, and +139% (+1,684,000) ahead of Fox News Sunday's 1.210 million.

• In homes, MTP delivered a 2.1 rating and a 6 share, ahead of This Week's 1.9/5, Face the Nation hour's 1.6/4, and Fox News Sunday's 0.9/2.

• In rating A25-54, MTP delivered a 0.7 rating, +1 tenth ahead of This Week and Face the Nation hour's 0.6, and +4 tenths more than Fox News Sunday's 0.3.

• MTP averaged 809,000 A25-54 viewers, +54,000 more than Face The Nation hour's 755,000, +121,000 more than This Week's 688,000, and +411,000 more than Fox News Sunday's 398,000.

• MTP had its biggest total viewer advantage over This Week since July 7, 2013.

• MTP had its second consecutive week of total viewer growth.

• MTP had its best total viewer and A25-54 rating deliveries in four weeks.

Sunday's edition of "Meet the Press" featured an exclusive interview with Secretary of State John Kerry; interviews with Republican Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie and Senator Bob Corker (R-TN); a political roundtable featuring Host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Joe Scarborough, Presidential Historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, Senior Political Analyst for TIME Magazine Mark Halperin and Rep. Donna Edwards (D-MD); and a special report on the anniversary of the Gettysburg Address from NBC News Correspondent Harry Smith.
