NBC's LAST COMIC STANDING Jumps +40% Week-to-Week

The season finale of "Last Comic Standing" (1.4/5 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) jumped +40% versus last week in adult 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 1.0) and +43% in total viewers (4.870 million vs. 3.401 million), pending updates. "Last Comic" is currently tied for #1 for the two-hour time period among the Big 4 in 18-49 with CBS and was #1 outright among those nets in adults, men and women 25-54.

"Last Comic" hit the show's top 18-49 rating in nine weeks (since June 19, 1.4 from 10-11 p.m.) and best total-viewer result since the show's season premiere (May 22, 5.417 million from 9:01-11 p.m.), pending updates. Versus the show's prior finale four years ago, "Last Comic" finished within a tenth of a point in 18-49 (1.4 vs. 1.5 on Monday, Aug. 9, 2010) and was up +25% in total viewers (4.870 million vs. 3.910 million).

For its second hour from 10-11 p.m., "Last Comic Standing" matched the ABC-CBS competition combined in adults 18-49 (with a 1.5 that hour vs. a 0.9 for "NY Med" and a 0.6 for an "Elementary" encore) and led The Hour among those nets in every key demo.

· "Last Comic" has won the Thursday 10-11 p.m. hour versus regular ABC and CBS competition during 13 of 14 weeks in 18-49.


· An encore telecast of "Hollywood Game Night" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) ranked #2 among the Big 4 in the slot in 18-49, total viewers and most other key measures. "Hollywood Game Night" is currently up +25% week to week in 18-49 (1.0 vs. 0.8) and up +8% in total viewers (3.794 million vs. 3.518 million), pending updates.


Note that NBC carried pre-season NFL football in Jacksonville and ABC carried coverage in Chicago.


In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday Night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.1/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.4/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/4 with an encore.


· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.4/7; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.8/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
