"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and "Late Night with Seth Meyers" have delivered decisive wins for the late-night ratings week of Aug. 4-8
Fallon generated bigger audiences than ABC'S "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and CBS's encore telecasts of "Late Show with David Letterman" last week in every key ratings measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers. Note that Friday's "Kimmel" was an encore. Note that Thursday and Friday editions of "Late Late Show" were delayed by PGA Golf coverage and are excluded from these averages. Fallon's margins over Kimmel were +68% in adult 18-49 rating (0.96 vs. 0.57) and +50% in total viewers (3.510 million vs. 2.346 million) and versus Letterman's encores, Fallon's advantages were +113% in 18-49 (0.96 vs. 0.45) and +57% in total viewers (3.510 million vs. 2.229 million).
