The Jan. 10 telecast of NBC's THIS IS US has followed up the show's "live plus same day" series record in adults 18-49 with a new series high in "live plus three day" results. Last Tuesday's episode has grown from its record L+SD rating of a 3.02 to a L+3 rating of 4.64, a +54% increase, according to Nielsen Media Research. That breaks the show's previous L+3 record of a 4.49 set with its prior original on Dec. 6. And note that the L+3 rating for the Jan. 10 episode does not yet include the VOD viewership normally counted in L+3 figureS and is expected to increase when that audience is added.
The gains of +1.62 in 18-49 rating and 4.253 million viewers overall are the biggest L+3 lifts of the night on the Big 4 networks. NBC dramas have also delivered the biggest L+3 lifts in 18-49 percentage and total viewers on Wednesday and Thursday nights, with Wednesday's "Law & Order: SVU" (+60% in 18-49, 1.40 to 2.24) and "Chicago P.D." (+3.141 million viewers, 6.6 million to 9.7 million) generating the biggest gains among Big 4 programs that night, and Thursday's "The Blacklist" (+76% in 18-49, 1.02 to 1.80; +3.288 million viewers, 5.3 million to 8.6 million) capturing Thursday's biggest increase.Image courtesy of NBC
