A tie for the nightlong win in adults 18-49 among the Big 4 nets.
A win for the night outright among those nets in adults 25-54 and total viewers.
A three-month slot high from the debut of "Crossbones."
A tie for a two-month high from the Friday "Dateline."
"Dateline NBC" (1.3/5 in 18-49, 7.1 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) was a decisive #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox,leading four of four half-hours among those nets in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" grew by +36% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.5 rating from a 1.1) and by +31% in adults 25-54 (2.1 vs. 1.6)
"Dateline" matched its high ratings in 18-49 and 25-54 (1.9) in two months, since March 28, and hit a total-viewer high (7.065 million) since that same date.
The premiere of "Crossbones" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) captured NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the slot in three months (best since Feb. 28). In adults 25-54 (1.4) and total viewers, "Crossbones" earned NBC's top results in The Hour since the last Friday of the Winter Olympics, Feb. 21.
"Crossbones" finished within 1 share of the time-period lead among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 (with a 4 share vs. a 5 for ABC's "20/20"), while tying for #1 among men 18-49 and men 18-34 and ranking #1 outright among those nets in men 25-54 (1.3 rating).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday night:
In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.3/6 with an encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.8/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.0/5 with an encore.
In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/2 with an encore.
From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/3 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore) tied "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore).
At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/1 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
