NBC's CHICAGO P.D. Retains Season High 100% of Lead-In

With its first telecast in three weeks, "Chicago P.D." (1.4/5 in 18-49, 6.6 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) retained a season-high 100% of its lead-in from an original "SVU" in adults 18-49. That's versus retentions in the time period of 67% for CBS's "Stalker" (1.4 vs. 2.1 for "Criminal Minds") and 65% for ABC's "Nashville" (1.5 vs. 2.3 for "Black-ish") .

"Chicago P.D." also retained 100% of "SVU" in adults 25-54 (1.8 vs. 1.8), men 25-54 (1.4 vs. 1.4) and women 25-54 (2.3 vs. 2.3) and grew by +10% versus lead-in in men 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.0).

"Chicago P.D." finished within a tenth of a rating point of #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and tied for #1 in men 18-49 (1.1) in the slot among those nets.

With its first telecast since Nov. 19, "Law & Order: SVU" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 6.9 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) grew by +17% versus lead-in in adults 18-49. "SVU" grew half-hour to half-hour in every key measure, including gains of +7% in adults 18-49 (1.4 to 1.5), +11% in adults 18-34 (0.9 to 1.0) and +25% in women 18-34 (1.2 to 1.5).

With its first telecast in three weeks, "The Mysteries of Laura" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 8.0 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) ranked #2 in the slot on the Big 4 in total viewers, behind only CBS's "Survivor" (9.4 million).

"The Mysteries of Laura" retained 86% of its prior rating (1.2 vs. 1.4, which matched the show's high since Oct. 1), despite being preempted the prior two weeks, and retained 93% in total viewers (8.0 million vs. 8.6 million).

For an eighth telecast in a row, "The Mysteries of Laura" remained within 0.3 of a point of its regular-slot premiere rating in 18-49 (1.5 on Sept. 24).

Prior L+3 Results (Nov. 19):
· "The Mysteries of Laura" grew by +23% in 18-49 (from a 1.36 to a 1.67) and 1.6 million viewers overall (10.2 million to. 8.6 million) going from L+SD to L+3.
· "Law & Order: SVU" increased by +47% in 18-49 (from a 1.82 to a 2.67) and more than 2.2 million viewers overall (7.9 million to 10.2 million) going from L+SD to L+3.
· "Chicago P.D." grew by +52% in 18-49 (from a 1.62 to a 2.46) and by more than 2.5 million viewers overall (7.3 million to. 9.8 million) going from L+SD to L+3 results.


In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.0/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.4/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.1/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.2/6; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.3/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.4/3).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
