NBC's CHICAGO P.D. Ranks #2 in Time Slot; Delivers Over 6M Viewers

The regular-slot debut of "Heartbreak" (0.9/4 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) maintains its rating from half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 and most other key measures and grows half-hour to half-hour in women 18-34.

Retains 90% of NBC's result in the hour on the year-ago night (0.9 vs. 1.0 with "The Mysteries of Laura" on March 25, 2015) and 100% of NBC's rating the subsequent week (0.9 vs. 0.9 on April 1, 2015).

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.5/5 in 18-49, 6.1 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) with its first original in three weeks, grows +15% versus the same night last year in 18-49 (1.5 vs. 1.3 on March 25, 2015).

Grows half-hour to half-hour by +6% in women 18-49 (1.8 to 1.9), +5% in adults 25-54 (1.9 to 2.0) and +9% in women 25-54 (2.3 to 2.5).

Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting and VOD - "SVU" has grown by +70% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.68 to a 2.85) and 3.0 million viewers overall (7.2 million to 10.2 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Chicago P.D." (1.3/5 in 18-49, 6.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) is close to rounding up to a 1.4 (currently reporting a 1.348 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings), while CBS's "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" is close to rounding down to a 1.4 (currently at a 1.452).

With its first original telecast in three weeks, ranks #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, is tied for #1 in men 18-49, adults 18-34 and men 18-34 and is #1 outright among those nets in women 18-34.

Will add significant viewership via time-shifting and VOD -- "P.D." has grown by +69% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.60 to a 2.70) and 3.5 million viewers overall (7.0 million to 10.5 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/7; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.8/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
