NBC's AMERICA'S GOT TALENT is No. 1 Telecast on Tuesday

NBC is #1 Tuesday night among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49 and total viewers and all other key measures, led by "America's Got Talent," the #1 show of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in 18-49, total viewers and all other key categories.

From 9-11 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (2.5/7 in 18-49, 9.5 million viewers overall) is the #1 telecast of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key measures, with a 67% margin over the #2 telecast on those nets in 18-49 (with a 2.5 from 9-11 p.m. vs. the 1.5 from 8-10 for Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance"). In the 9-11 p.m. time period, "Talent" is also #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in every key ratings measure.

Week to week, "America's Got Talent" is up, by 9% versus last week's 2.3 in these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings and by 4% versus last week's 2.4 in official nationals.

"Talent" built by 29% from its first half-hour to its fourth in adults 18-49 (to a 2.7 rating from a 2.1), and in total viewers, "Talent" grew by 24% or 2.0 million persons (10.2 million vs. 8.2 million). For its second hour from 10-11 p.m., "Talent" topped the encore-drama competition on ABC and CBS combined in every key category -- adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, "Talent" delivered a 162% margin of victory among ABC, CBS and NBC in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (with a 3.4 rating vs. a 1.3 for CBS's second-place "Person of Interest" encore). "Talent" topped ABC and CBS combined in the 10:30 half-hour in every key ratings category.

"Betty White's Off Their Rockers" captured a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers overall with an 8 p.m. encore, and a 1.0/3 in 18-49 and 4.0 million viewers with an 8:30 original, building by 11% at 8:30 versus the 8 p.m. rebroadcast in 18-49 and by 8% in total viewers.

Week to week, the 8 p.m. encore was up 13% in 18-49 rating (to a 0.9 from a 0.8) and 10% in total viewers (3.710 million vs. 3.367 million). The 8:30 original of "Off Their Rockers" was up week to week by 25% in 18-49 rating (1.0 vs. 0.8) and 11% in total viewers (3.995 million vs. 3.590 million). The first-run 8:30 telecast ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in men 18-34 and men 25-54.


In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.6/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.2/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
