NBC's AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR is #1 Show Monday Night

"American Ninja Warrior" (2.0/7 in 18-49, 6.5 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) ranked #1 for the night among Big 4 telecasts in in adults 18-49.

Week to week, "American Ninja Warrior" is up +11% in adult 18-49 rating (2.0 vs. 1.8) and up +8% in total viewers (6.525 million vs. 6.065 million), to capture its top 18-49 rating since June 8 (2.1) and biggest overall audience since June 29 (6.802 million).

"American Ninja Warrior" matched its second-highest 18-49 rating of the season to date.

"American Ninja Warrior" is up +17% summer to date versus one year ago in 18-49 (2.1 vs. 1.8, "most current") and up +29% or 1.6 million persons in total viewers (7.1 million vs. 5.5 million).

"Running Wild with Bear Grylls" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) maintained 100% of last week's premiere rating in 18-49 and is up +13% in adults 18-34 (0.9 vs. 0.8) and up +17% in men 18-34 (0.7 vs. 0.6).

In the time period, "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" ranks #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and all key adult-male demos.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.5/6; "CBS Summer Showcase," 1.8/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "CBS Summer Showcase," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 with an encore in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

For the Week:

NBC has tied for #2 for the primetime week of July 13-19 in adults 18-49, with "America's Got Talent" ranking as the week's #1 primetime non-sports telecast on the Big 4 networks in 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. According to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, NBC averaged a 1.1 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers overall for the week.

Excluding Fox's coverage of baseball's All-Star Game and ABC's "Espy Awards," "America's Got Talent" ranked #1 among the week's primetime programs on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 and all key adult-male demos.

Additionally, "Talent" was the #1 Big 4 telecast overall, including sports, in women 25-54, teens 12-17 and kids 2-11.

Excluding the All-Star Game and Espys, NBC placed nine shows in the week's top 30 - Tuesday's "America's Got Talent" (#1 excluding sports-related programming), Monday's "American Ninja Warrior" (tied for #6), Tuesday's "Hollywood Game Night" (#10), Monday's "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" debut (tied for #12), Wednesday's "Talent" encore (tied for #12), Wednesday's "Ninja" encore (#15), "Dateline Thursday Night Mystery" (tied for #16), Friday's "Dateline NBC" (tied for #20) and Thursday's "Food Fighters" (tied for #20).

NBC was #2 outright for the week among the Big 4 networks in adults, men and women 25-54 and women 18-49.

For the 52-week 2014-15 season to date, NBC ranks #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and is #1 or tied for #1 among those nets in men 18-49 and adults and men 18-34.

In total viewers, NBC is #2 for the season, and running within 6% of its year-ago Olympics-boosted average (8.0 million vs. 8.6 million), making this season and last NBC's two top-scoring seasons in total viewers at this point since the 2006-07 season. This is the second year in a row NBC has ranked #2 in total viewers at this point in the season, marking first two times since 2003-04 that NBC has ranked as high as #2 in total viewers at this point.
