NBCUniversal Names Rajal Lele VP Business Affairs

NBCUniversal announced the promotion of Rajal Lele to Vice President, Business Affairs, Bravo Media, Oxygen Media and Style Media. This promotion gives Lele business affairs responsibility for Style Media deals, in addition to the numerous talent and production negotiations she handles for Bravo Media and Oxygen Media.

“Rajal is an accomplished negotiator and a valuable team member,” says Lauren McCollester, Senior Vice President, Business Affairs, Entertainment & Digital Networks and Integrated Media (E&DN/IM), to whom Lele will report. “Bravo, Oxygen and Style will all benefit greatly from Rajal’s promotion, as she brings her negotiation savvy to a broader scope of increasingly complex projects.”

Lele joined NBCUniversal’s Entertainment & Digital Networks and Integrated Media division as Director, Business Affairs in 2008. In this role, Lele handled projects for Bravo Media and Oxygen Media, leading negotiations for Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing: NY,” “The Real Housewives of Miami” and “Kandi Factory,” as well as Oxygen’s “I’m Having Their Baby.”

Prior to working in the E&DN/IM portfolio, Lele spent three years in the NBCUniversal Law Department as Media Counsel focusing on production legal issues for “The Maury Show,” “The Jerry Springer Show” and “The Steve Wilkos Show.” Additionally, Lele’s responsibilities included all contest and sweepstakes review and compliance for NBCUniversal.

Lele joined NBCUniversal in 2004, and worked with the Intellectual Property practice group in the Law Department on a variety of matters including trademark prosecution, script review and assistance with copyright issues. Lele launched her career as a litigator at Ryan, Ryan, Johnson & Deluca.

Lele received her Bachelor of Arts from Lehigh University and her Juris Doctor from Yeshiva University and lives in Connecticut with her husband and three children.
